| Torrie Dorschug |
Torrie Dorschug is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Master's degree from the University of Tennessee in 2000 and earned her license in 2003. Torrie has been in the mental health field since 1997 and has a wide range of experience in outpatient and inpatient settings.
Torrie specializes with adolescents and families dealing with family conflict, alcohol and drug use, defiant behaviors, adjustment issues, abuse, self injury, sexual orientation, depression, and grief. She conducts a pre-adolescent group (ages 11-14) to address a wide range of issues including social skills.
Torrie works with adults in addressing childhood trauma and abuse, grief, depression, adjustment issues, sexual orientation, marital problems, and anxiety.
Torrie's practice motto with children and adolescents is "there's no such thing as a bad kid, just kids with problems". She focuses on family dynamics, strengths, and a developmental model to help guide children and their parents. Torrie believes in working with the entire family system in order to accomplish the most effective change.
