| Roy Rummel, PhD |
Roy Rummel, PhD, is a psychologist licensed as a Health Service Provider. He received his doctoral degree from Ohio State University in 1972. He also received a M. Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary in 1967. Dr. Rummel has been in the mental health field since 1972 with a wide range of experience including individual, group, couples, and family therapy as well as diagnostic evaluations. He has specialized training in conjoint Marital and Family therapy, Parent effectiveness training, Medical Hypno-analysis, Hakomi Body Centered Psychotherapy, and advanced training in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Dr. Rummel has specialized in work with abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and addictions.
Dr. Rummel works extensively with identifying and managing negative core beliefs by challenging them with updated workable attitudes. Desired goals are then much more reachable. Helping people remember their best moments and anchoring that motivating energy and related pictures in the mind is often the focus of his therapy. Releasing the pain of problem area can then be more manageable. Dr. Rummel believes that positive happiness comes through tapping our inner resources and keeping them supported through loving contact with family and friends. He is committed to helping his clients get results.
